JDrama - How did you get into it?

I first got into anime like naruto and bleach. Then i got season 1 of Hana yori dango and i liked it very much. from there i got into many more .

I first got into Jdrama when my sister said that I should watch 1 litre of tears (one of the best dramas I've seen btw) and that's when I became interested and started researching about Japanese dramas. I looked at alot of forum topics recommending good jdramas and started watching what people said were really good

i got into anime like bleach first,then i started to watch some other animes.
after that,i saw the link to hana kimi so i thought that it should be interesting.
after watching hana kimi,i got addicted to jdrama because it was so funny =D

I tried in the past to see some doramas, but I didn't like japanese acting, so I ended up watching just 2-3 episodes of Nodame.
Then during my first year of university a friend of mine that always talks about dorama encouraged me to try again. I wanted to improve my spoken japanese skills, so I tried.
Now I'm totally addicted (even if sometimes I still really hate japanese acting XD)!!

A friend told me "hey there's a drama of hanayori dango! a taiwanese drama!" and i was O_O a drama? what's a drama? she gave it to me, i saw it then another friend gave me my boss my hero then came kimi wa petto and then... the I fell in this black hole... I've now seen about 130 jdramas (and i also see korean and sometimes taiwanese ones too!)... it's, let me think... 4 years that i'm watching dramas!

Not to mention really love Yutaka Takenouchi back then
Until now, I really love watching JDrama. Especially the mystery+suspense genre

Hi.new here.nice thread here.i still remember my first jdrama that made me go gaga for japan,anime,manga,culture,language,songs,tokusatsu and everything.
it is 'Long Vacation' by Takuya Kimura.i seem to cant remember the actress' name.every single piano piece Sena(Kimutaku) played in the drama are very soothing to my ears...

its pretty much all because of hana yori dango. i was watching anime and reading mangas. one day, i discovered the hana yori dango manga, became absolutely obssessed with the story and became possessed to see everything to do with it. that led my to watching the jdrama, and the rest was pertty much history after that.

I used to watch Sailor Moon when I was about 4 and never knew I was watching an anime. Then I turned 11 and searched up sailor moon where I found the live action. From there, I've been an addict on anime, dramas,and mangas for the next three years.

A friend of mine gave me about three years ago Hana Kimi, so I thought I would give it a try. I fell immediately in love with Oguri Shun, Ikuta Toma and Mizushima Hiro and I started to search for another jdramas with these actors. The second one I watched was Hana Yori Dango, in which I got hooked by Matsumoto Jun...which led me immediately to Gokusen - and so began the neverending search for new and new jdramas
